Revisiting this game, I should actually comment about it. Its got good video action for an old game and is pretty good aside from one big thing. Im not sure I ever fully realized it about this game or beat it before now, but having to beat your own high score to level up is very ridiculous, especially in a game against an opponent. That turns it into a competition against yourself and encourages you to intentionally play badly, something you should never have to do. But, I think this was realized seeing as this is one of the only games with that requirement. On hard the opponent is surprisingly much harder, but it would have been a neat optional challenge if not for having to beat your high score, which is even harder to do on hard. |
